Travel to the West Africa for this 11 Days / 10 Nights in Ghana and Senegal. You will stay in Accra, Ghana for five nights, and the activities and tours in this portion will be on your own account. You will then depart for Dakar, Senegal, where you will enjoy a private guided city tour including a visit to the Renaissance Monument, and a visit to the historical slave port on Goree Island, off the coast of the capital city. After three nights in the city, depart for Saint Louis, where you will visit the famous Pink Lake, which is named for its bright pink waters caused by an indigenous algae and extreme high salt content. You will then return to Dakar for one last night.

VIP Meet and Greet at Accra International Airport
The VIP service representative will meet and greet you at the arrival gate, holding a sign with your name or a more discreet format. They’ll help with your carry-on luggage and lead you to the exclusive fast track Immigration counters, where they will assist with Immigration document details to ensure that your official entry into Ghana occurs without any delays. After collecting your luggage from the baggage claim area, the VIP service representative will guide you through Customs and deliver your luggage to your private airport transportation. Enjoy time at your leisure to relax or explore at your own pace while staying in Accra.

Kotoka International Airport to Blaise Diagne International Airport
Depart with your private driver/guide and enjoy a full-day Dakar city tour. You will pay a visit to the “Plateau” District, the Presidential Palace, and an interesting marketplace in Kermel, which is built in pure colonial style. You will stop an enjoy an authentic Senegalese lunch in a typical restaurant. After lunch, enjoy a visit to the artisan village, where you have the opportunity to meet the vibrant local artists' community. Finally, enjoy a visit to the Museum of Black Civilization.
Enjoy a visit to the "Monument de la Renaissance Africaine" or the African Renaissance Monument followed by a tour to Goree Island, the departure point of millions headed for slavery in the Americas. Upon arrival at the ferry terminal, you will board a ferry to the infamous island. This 20 minute ride takes you back in time over 200 years. Goree is a UNESCO World Heritage site, which used to be a slaving station and was one of the first French settlements on the continent. The island has many clusters of pink colonial style houses, calm streets and a small beach. Visit the historical ‘door of no return’, once visited by the former US President, Barack Obama. From here, proceed for a visit to the Town Square.
Visit to the Pink Lake (Lac Rose or Lake Retba), a shallow saltwater lake surrounded by dunes. The water is ten times saltier than the ocean and due to the high concentration of minerals the lake often shimmers into a beautiful pink color. Enjoy an optional swim in the lake before moving on to discover the largest fisherman village in Senegal by going on an authentic donkey cart through the town. More than 4500 wooden pirogues (or large wood canoes) come to the shore with the catch of the day! Greet the fishermen selling their catch at the local market, the artisans carving large pirogues, and the painters decorating the boats with bright colors and with the image of the “local saint” to guarantee a final magical blessing for their fishing journey.

On the way back to Dakar you will drive to the beautiful Lampoul Desert which is a small but distinct desert with orange sand dunes forming a landscape similar to those of the Sahara and Mauritania. Take part in varies activities that can be added to your package such as camel trekking, sand dune buggies, magnificent vistas and more.
